Thailand's
National Agenda for Industrialization is well underway. As systems
approaches to newer market realities unfold, one good way to achieve
strategic engineering management is through what the Sloan Management
Review has identified as the " technical function's strategy"
(TFS). The considerations within TFS range from product development
function to assessments of technical strategic plans should define
the development path along which newer resources would be identified
and used. Key capabilities would evolve.
It
is my firm belidf that the Computer and Engineering Management (CEM)
program at ABAC will emerge in time as a source-point for efficient
managers to control both manufacturing management and computer management
and these, will in time grow towards TFS. These remain as possible
missions and goals of the MS (CEM) program as it imparts crucial
knowledge and information. Such education will link Thailand to
more competitive local, regional and global relevance, which in
effect, is the mission and goal of Assumption University's educational
agenda.
